ReplyDeleteI appreciate that u took up this company. The ICT strategies are mainly one click booking, tie ups with agencies,data storage and internal communication system within the company.
I found the idea of one click booking very effective as the site will guide the customer to the best suitable route.
In my opinion the tie-ups with agencies is more of a promotional strategy.
The internal communication system is both effective for customers as well the the employees.
According to me star cruise should come up with ICT strategies with in ship GPS system for the on board customers as these ships are too huge and one tends to get lost with in the ship. Moreover families traveling with small kinds will find it most effective as they can trace their kids if lost.
The other suggestion is to have a digital map sorta device given to the customer with the key card so that the customer finds its easy to locate so many different restaurants, entertainment rooms etc.

I believe that the ship will support a map of ship to every customer as basic service. I heard of that some cruises have special services like private steward for families travelling to guide them and solve the problems they create. In my opinion, all facilities that Star cruise used such as karaoke rooms, card and games room and so on are provided to meet the needs of customers. Nowadays, tourist do not only focus on destinations or natural beauty, but also want to gain experiences luxury accommodations and entertain during their journeys. So this strategy can be called 'satisfy customers' element.
And the other strategy that you mentioned above is diversities and functions of its website. This is very convenient for both clients and staffs. So I think this strategy can be called 'support employees' and 'improve quality of services' strategic elements.

I think one way to measure the effectiveness of the first strategic management plan is collecting customers' feedback through the website, and calculating number of valued clients who use Star cruise's services many times.

My suggestion for Star Cruise is that a big screen gives informations a bout the path, the view outside and introduce some destinations and local cultures of these destinations to customers to make more enjoyable for their journeys.

It is not too beneficial, and it is really risky. It may lead to waste and rot of food, if they don't have enough consumers. However, they succeed. They make sure brand awareness and loyalty are equally important to the financial value. They meet the enjoyment needs of consumers,and they increase the profitability at the same time. Right?
